These are Pohoiki's Hawaiian rock walls which sum are hundreds and even thousands of years old. These walls are dry stacked no cement to hold it together it was typical way Hawaiians made there walls.
These Hawaiian rock walls are all along the mango grove road to Pohoiki. It's hidden behind the mango trees and bushes. Made byour ancient kupuna who lived in this area it needs to be respected and protected.
These rock walls are about four feet high and three feet wide. Thewalls are skillfully made and really strong. The type of rock use is the A'a rock.
These walls can go for miles long and sometimes a few hundred feet. Hawaiian walls were used as property boundary lines, housefoundation, shelter, animal stable, pathways, Hawaiian burials and Heiau.
